     It was a beautiful day for a meet...not too hot, not too cold, and just a hint of autumn in the air as the leaves are finally starting to turn.  Everyone put forth a good effort.  The 5th & 6th graders ran a mile, and the 7th & 8th graders ran 1.5 miles.  See the photo gallery below for a review of the races.

 

One of the few churches in the area with a cemetery on the grounds.  Yes, the kids run right through it!

Oops!  Can't really read the cards, but they say 13th and 3rd places!  Good job, boys.

That winds up the cross country season for 2012.  Well done, runners.  It's not an easy sport, but you worked hard and you ALL deserve recognition for seeing it through to the end.

First race of the Season

     We could not have asked for a better day, weather-wise.  It was sunny, yet cool and comfortable at the same time.  Perfect fall weather.  
     The Academy was well represented at the meet.  Both races included our school among the front runners.  But every one of our runners did well; we're proud of all of you.  Keep up the good work.  See below for pictures from today's meet.
